RAISING THE ROOF for Habitat for Humanity!
Please do come for the Spaghetti Dinner THIS Sunday evening to benefit HFH’s partnership with the Reynolds Family.
As you may remember, this is a very sweet family of six (besides Mom and Dad, there are four children), whose already inadequate Mobile Home was destroyed by fire last winter. We, as a faith community, hope to be able to raise enough money for the roof of their new home on Washington Street here in Berea.
As Fr. Michael pointed out, this will be the day after the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, good friend and mentor to our own St. Clare of Assisi. Francis said that we must preach the gospel always by our actions and our care for each other and the earth.
Raising money for this worthy cause (while having fun, we hope) is one way to do it. We are asking a donation of $10 per person or $20 per family for the dinner……. or as Guy has said, $20 a person if you don’t come!! So please, do come, eat, enjoy, help out our brothers and sisters in need!
Many, many thanks to those who have offered to bring/donate food for this event. If you have any questions, please call Guy Patrick at 986-7942 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
